FOUN 3000 Dr. Llanes

Following are formative comments collected from students attending this course from a survey given mid-semester and the summative quantitative measures taken toward the end of the semester, which will be available August 2010. It is being presented here as "consumer information" for new and prospective students of this course.

  1. I think Dr. Llanes is the most intelligent professor I have ever had. He is extremely knowledgeable I liker to hear him talk
  2. I really enjoy the open discussion, I like to hear your opinion on things as well as the other student’s point of view.  We all come from different backgrounds
  3. I like how everyone is involved in group discussions. It doesn’t feel like a regular class to me, it is more laid back and not as stressful as others
  4. I like it when you share your insights (example the time as a variable thing)
  5. I love the discussion part of the classroom I think that it shows the class that you really do care about what we think.

Everyone can chose where to take the discussion, I also like the opportunity to do reflections, helps clear up my philosophy, All in all I would say this is the best class this semester

  1. I don’t like to be graded on my participation, I like to evaluate a response in my mind before I give it. I do this because I ant to make sure my discussion is legit.

  3. The movies. The diversity book is much more difficult to read than the American education book, I feel I learn more from this one.
  4. The pressure I feel to say something even if I have nothing to say, I like to have the opportunity but not the pressure.
