Dr. Sara Wolf has been an Assistant Professor in the department of Educational Foundations, Leadership, and Technology at Auburn University, since the Fall semester, 2000. Dr. Wolf began her career in teaching in Dayton, Ohio in grades 4-6 Chapter 1 reading. She completed her Master's degree at Wright State University in December of 1995 with an emphasis in School Library Media. She then traveled to Tempe, AZ to complete her doctoral work at Arizona State University in the department of Educational Media and Computers (now called
Educational Technology) under the direction of Dr. Tom Brush. Dr. Wolf is currently teaching the undergraduate pre-service teacher technology courses (EDMD 3000, 3100) as well as Instructional & Informational Technologies (EDMD 7010) and Integrating Technology into the Curriculum (EDMD 7210). She has also taught courses on multimedia and web development for students and teachers.
Dr. Wolf's primary research interest is examining the effectiveness of metacognitive scaffolds in student-centered and open-ended learning environments. Specifically, Dr. Wolf is interested in how information literacy standards and problem-solving models can or should be integrated into teaching, software development, and curriculum.
