Making Washington's Decision

In the table below, enter all of the arguments that you should consider in deciding whether to use force against the farmers or to choose some other action. Work with your partner to develop the fullest set of arguments that you possibly can. Be sure you consider what the likely consequences will be if Washington did or did not use force in this case. After your team has finished its brainstorming, each student will make an individual decision and justify it.

When you return to the classroom, each student will be asked to make a decision.  You will use the back of this chart to explain why your choice is the best decision. Be sure that you answer the arguments of those who oppose your choice.
