Postdoctoral Researcher - University of North Carolina (2001 - 2007) My overall research interest is focused on gaining a better understanding of plant development. More specifically, I am interested in how plant hormones are involved in such processes, particularly the hormone cytokinin. My research is centered on using molecular, genetic, and physiological approaches to study several highly related transcription factors that are regulated by cytokinin. A greater understanding of the role these Cytokinin Response Factors (CRFs) play in essential plant processes such as developmental control of leaf and other organ formation is a major goal. My teaching interests parallel my research interests and are focused on plant biology and development in general.
