Come celebrate our Earth with the Department of Geosciences!

Earth Day is a worldwide event celebrated on April 22nd that is used to show support for environmental protection. First celebrated in 1970, Earth Day is now observed in more than 193 countries. Be part of the solution by celebrating Earth Day and joining us at two events desinged to raise awareness of environmental issues facing our planet.

Earth Day Symposium

When: Tuesday, April 24th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Student Center, 2nd Floor Lobby

Come learn about issues that are facing the Earth through a series of student led poster displays

Earth Day Celebration

When: Wednesday, April 25th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Cater Lawn

Come and enjoy games, prizes, and free pizza to show your support for our environment.
