The PSI laboratory is equipped with a Thermo Scientific Delta V Plus gas isotope ratio mass spectrometer (GIRMS) that includes 3 Faraday cups for CNOS and H2 collectors. The interface consists of the Thermo Scientific Gas Bench II and sample preparation device, including a GC PAL autosampler, and a thermostated sample tray for 96 sample vials of 10 ml size each. The Delta V Plus IRMS is integrated with the peripheral Gas Bench II using the Isodat software suit.

Stable Isotope Water Analyzer-Dragon

The PSI lab is also equipped with a PICARRO L213-I high precision stable isotope water analyzer, including an autosampler for automated liquid injections for isotopic analysis, and a high precision vaporizer designed for liquid water analysis. This instrument uses Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy technology.
