GGAB Student Travel Grant. Funded by the AU Geology and Geography Advisory Board. Travel to academic meetings. Open to undergraduate and graduate students in Geology and Geography.
David W. Icenogle Student Travel Grant. Established in memory of Dr. Icenogle, who retired from AU after many years of service in Geography and as the faculty advisor to Gamma Theta Upsilon (GTU): The International Geographic Honor Society. Open to undergraduate and graduate students in Geography.
Alabama Geological Society -- Student Travel Grant. Travel to professional conferences. Open to undergraduate and graduate students.

Geological Society of America
COSAM Undergraduate Competitive Research Fellowship. The goal is to foster participation of undergraduate students in research. Fellowships for research for COSAM majors are available to students who are interested in performing undergraduate research. Fellowships of two types: (1) Year-long (beginning summer, ending in spring) (2) Academic-Year (beginning fall, ending in spring).
Hargett - Dunston Undergraduate Field Research Award. The purpose of this award program is to foster research in the Earth Sciences by providing support to undergraduate students in geology who are engaged in independent projects that involve a substantial component of field geology and mapping. Award recipients must be Geology majors at Auburn University and in good academic standing. Awards are to be applied to expenses directly related to research tasks, including fieldwork, laboratory analyses, etc. Funds also may be used to purchase capital equipment and to attend conferences to present research findings.
Spencer Waters and Dan Folse Memorial Award. Established in memory of Laura Folse’s father and husband. Soft-rock research (crinoid research preferred). Open to undergraduate and graduate students in AU Geology.
AU Graduate School -- Graduate Research Grant. Funding for research needs and activities such as equipment, lab supplies, and travel costs.
Sigma Xi Student Grants-in-Aid. Funding for research needs and activities such as equipment, lab supplies, and travel costs.
American Association of Petroleum Geologists. Grants-in-Aid Program. Promotes research in the geosciences. Grants are made to provide financial assistance to graduate students (currently enrolled in Masters or Ph.D. programs) whose thesis research has application to the search for and development of petroleum and energy-mineral resources and/or to related environmental geology issues.

AU Geology Alumni Endowed Scholarship. Endowment established by alumni of the AU Department of Geology for the purpose of providing scholarships for undergraduate students pursuing a degree in the field of geology at Auburn University.
Merkle Family Endowed Scholarship. Endowment established by Drs. Art and Carol Merkle for the purpose of providing scholarship awards for undergraduate students majoring in Geology or Geography at Auburn University.
Robert S. Fousek Scholarship. Funded by Robert S. Fousek to support AU students with majors in Geology and interests in careers in the mineral-resource or other traditional geoscience fields.
Goodwyn, Mills, and Cawood Endowed Scholarship. Endowment established by Goodwyn, Mills, and Cawood for the purpose of providing scholarship awards for undergraduate students majoring in Geography or Geology at Auburn University with an expressed interest in geospatial analysis.
Vulcan Materials Company Scholarship. Funded by Vulcan Materials Company to support AU undergraduate students majoring in Geology or Geography.
Gamma Theta Upsilon: The International Geographic Honor Society. Scholarships ($1,000 each) to support career or graduate school aspirations in geography. Four available to undergraduate students and one available to graduate students.
