The College of Sciences and Mathematics Advisory Council provides scholarships to students in good academic standing. Each recipient of the scholarship is required to maintain a 3.0 or better grade point average. Scholarships are initially awarded to outstanding incoming underrepresented minority freshmen majoring in Science and Mathematics on the basis of their High School grades and ACT or SAT scores and/or their performance in the Summer Bridge Program. All scholarship recipients are required to attend Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics Workshops and maintain a 3.00 GPA. Other students that attend these Workshops and do well in their courses are eligible to compete for these scholarships as they become available. Presently twenty seven students receive the Advisory Council scholarship.
