What is an Ed.S. degree?

The Specialist in Education (Ed.S) degree programs are designed for professionals in education and human services areas who want increased competence in a field of specialization. The Ed.S. is 30 hours beyond the master’s degree. Admission requirements for Ed.S. programs in teacher education and K-12 instructional support include a valid master's level professional educator certificate.
