The Music Education program prepares instrumental, vocal, and general music teachers for grades K-12. The program strives to produce teachers with the capacity to create musical experiences that lead to appreciation for creation and performance, understanding of the role of music in daily living, and opportunity to develop musical skills and knowledge for all children and adolescents. Digital technologies are used in all music education courses as means to develop the musician-teacher. The program works in close collaboration with the Department of Music in the College of Liberal Arts.
