Masters (M.Ed./M.S.)


Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation,
and Counseling

The Clinical Mental Health program offers students practica and internships in settings related to their career goals. Graduates typically are employed in community mental health centers or other social service agencies. The program will consider applicants with psychology, counseling, liberal arts, education, social work, criminal justice, and other general areas of study undergraduate degrees. Coursework will prepare graduates for the academic component for licensure/certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Accreditations

Auburn University holds regional accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The master’s program in Clinical Mental Health is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
