The Administration of Elementary and Secondary Education program prepares educators to be instructional administrators and leaders in a K-12 setting. The mission of the program is to prepare engaged, collaborative and effective leaders of learning through the integration of theory, reflection and applied leadership opportunities. The program integrates school leadership as an intellectual, moral and craft practice through collaboration, shared decision-making processes, and a focus on student learning and achievement. The master’s and specialist programs lead to Alabama certification in instructional leadership (Class A and Class AA).

Auburn University’s College of Education is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
