AuburnVoices looking for volunteers

March 2011

AuburnVoices is looking for volunteers from the College of Education to assist with a service project in conjunction with the Auburn University SGA Big Event scheduled for Saturday, March 26.

AuburnVoices, which coordinates with student organizations in the college to focus advocacy and outreach efforts, encourages faculty, staff and students to donate their time and talents to the event. The group has identified projects associated with Notasulga School and community- and school-based programs in Lee County. Its efforts for the Big Event will focus on Notasulga School and include outside landscaping, clean up of the playground and athletic fields and work on classroom and school spaces.

The Big Event began in 2003 as a way for Auburn University students and staff to give back to local communities.
