Dr. John Dagley, associate professor of counseling psychology in the Department of Special Education, Rehabilitation and Counseling, has been elected to serve on the Society of Group Psychology and Group Psychotherapy’s executive board.
The organization, a division of the American Psychological Association
, provides a forum for psychologists interested in teaching, research and practice in group psychology and psychotherapy. The group works to develop national standards for doctoral and post-doctoral training in group psychotherapy.
Dagley, a member of the Auburn faculty since 2003, previously served as an officer for the society. During his time at Auburn, he has served as an acting department head, a member of the graduate faculty, and as director of the counseling psychology program.
