Faculty, staff and donors of the College of Education recognize that our students are competent, committed and reflective individuals who have excelled during their academic and pre-professional careers. During the 2012-2013 academic year the COE presented 153 scholarships/graduate awards totaling over $300,000.
UNDERGRADUATE
The scholarship application for the 2013-2014 academic year is now available. Submission of a single application is required for consideration for all college-based scholarships. The deadline for submission is January 31, 2013. Recipients will be notified by April 15, 2013.
*Current Students and Recent Transfer Students
Any currently enrolled undergraduate student wishing to be considered for a College of Education scholarship for the 2013-2014 academic year must submit a scholarship application through their Tk20 account. To be eligible for a College of Education scholarship, applicants must have declared a major in the College of Education at the time of application. Transfer students enrolling for the first time in the College of Education for Spring 2013 are considered current students and should complete the application through Tk20. Please refer to the e-mail that you received from Professional Education Services for additional instructions about Tk20.
*Incoming Students
Incoming freshmen or incoming transfer students who have been accepted to Auburn University, declared a major within the College of Education and plan initial full-time enrollment for Fall 2013, should complete the following application for scholarship eligibility. Priority will be given to those who have paid all required admission deposits.
While some of our undergraduate scholarships are based solely on merit; others are based on leadership and financial need. We encourage everyone to complete the free application
for federal student aid (FAFSA) which is required for consideration to scholarships based on financial need. In order to be considered for need-based scholarships, your FAFSA must be processed and received by the Auburn University Office of Student Financial Aid on or before the priority deadline of March 1. Completion of the FAFSA is required each calendar year for consideration for need-based scholarship opportunities.

GRADUATE
The awarding of assistantships and fellowships for graduate students are handled through individual departments within the College of Education. Please contact your appropriate department head to inquire about graduate award opportunities.
FEDERAL TEACH GRANT
The U.S. Department of Education offers a grant opportunity specifically for students pursuing a degree in education. The program provides grant funds for postsecondary students who are completing coursework in a federally designated critical-need area of education and agree to serve for at least four years as a full-time, highly qualified teacher in a low-income school.
Eligible students may receive up to $4,000 per year in TEACH Grant funds. Failure to complete the service agreement will result in the grant being converted to a Federal Direct Unsubsidized Stafford/Ford Loan in which you must repay in full, with interest. Eligibility requirements for the TEACH Grant
at Auburn University may be found online. Since this opportunity is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education, we encourage you to visit the Federal Teach Grant site for more detailed information concerning this opportunity.
Additional funding opportunities, including university scholarships, federal financial aid and on-campus work study, are outlined online by the Auburn University Office of Financial Aid
