I will be participating in the Miss Auburn University Scholarship Pageant in January and chose AuburnVoices as my platform because I am very passionate about this organization and want to see it promoted across Auburn's campus.

Being a future educator, I find it extremely important that we reach out to schools around Auburn that are suffering from poverty. I believe that the Voices project does an excellent job in advocating for impoverished schools around the Auburn area and I plan to partner with this organization to raise awareness for school poverty issues.

I am the Activities Chair for the College of Education Student Council and over the past two years, we have worked with AuburnVoices to raise money for different needs at Notasulga, a high poverty school near Auburn. I cannot wait to use this project as my platform and bring awareness to schools' needs around the Auburn area.
