Mission: assist the US Armed Forces in maximizing readiness through improvement of Warrior health and wellness, physical and technical performance, and equipment in order to fight and win in the 21st century battle space.
The WRC will develop protocols to reduce the number and severity of musculoskeletal injuries; develop improved rehabilitation and treatments to improve Return to Duty tempo; explore, develop and roll out new strategies to prevent acute and overuse injury; and reduce the long term impact of musculoskeletal issues on our Forces. Knowledge gained from research on daily Military tasks and exposure will be used to develop improved equipment and training methods. All activities are focused upon improving overall mission readiness of the Armed Forces and to provide a mechanism for any dual use improvements to reach the civilian sector.
Finally, the WRC serves as a center of collaboration between researchers and the Military to further the development of new knowledge in health and wellness; working to improve resiliency and providing leadership through research, education, training, and implementation of new knowledge in order to better serve our Warriors, Veterans, Families and the Community.
