One of the main reasons to have your health and fitness level measured is to find out where you stand in regards to cardiovascular disease (CVD), which remains the greatest cause of death and disability in the United States. The good news is the age-adjusted death rate due to CVD has decreased by 40 percent throughout the last 30 years. This is due in a large part to the early detection of signs and symptoms of CVD and CVD risk factors.
