Dr. John Quindry earned tenure and the rank of associate professor for 2011. Dr. Quindry was also inducted into the College of Applied Science and Technology’s Academy of Achievement at Illinois State University.

Kinesiology Faculty receive grants from AU Vice President of Research. Dr. Wendi Weimar received a $75,000 Equipment Grant from AU Vice President of Research. Drs. John Quindry, Bruce Gladden and Peter Hastie received grants to support pilot research.

Stasia Burroughs (graduate-master's, Athletic Training - Research) received the Alabama 2011 Athletic Trainers’ Association scholarship award.
