Why would you want to participate in one of the EFLT graduate programs? As a student, you would find faculty who are ready to assist you in reaching your professional goals. You would be able to work and learn with a diverse group of faculty who are nationally recognized in their field.

Dr. David DiRamio implemented a Veterans Learning Community to assist student-veterans and shares his knowledge through the Creating a Veteran-Friendly Campus: Strategies for Transition and Success book.
Department Head Sherida Downer and Dr. Nancy Barry traveled to China and visited the cities of Beijing, Qinhuangdao, Guangzhou and Shenzhen and university, elementary school, middle school and high school sites.
Dr. Lisa Kensler was selected as an external evaluator for the U.S. Green Building Council’s Green Schools Fellowship program.
Drs. Lisa Kensler, Ellen Reames, and Lynne Patrick received funding for their Systems Thinking Tools for Improving Data Informed Decisions project.
Dr. James Witte was interviewed about his trip to Egypt. He was invited to spend a semester teaching at Suez Canal University in Egypt. He also uses interactive television to connect with the Cooperative Extension professionals enrolled in graduate programs. He also is developing an advanced studies program for the National Training Institute of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and delivered the 2011 keynote address at the National Training Institute.
Dr. Paris Strom uses student opinions to improve school effectiveness through the use of student polling. The results allow school administrators to make better informed decisions.
Dr. Jung Won Hur developed a partnership project to assist K-12 international students and their parents to improve English proficiency - Auburn University Summer English School.
Dr. Ellen Reames is elected as vice president of the Alabama Association for Professors of Educational Leadership organization.
Dr. James Kaminsky was awarded the Mildred Cheshire Fraley Distinguished Professorship for his accomplishments and achievements.

Graduates of the programs are prepared for careers and leadership roles as university, community college administrators, officers, staff or coordinators; school superintendents; principals; teachers; consultants; technical writers; library media specialists; information specialists; faculty members; and researchers. Internships, practicum experiences, and service learning opportunities provide opportunities to build capacity and skills. You could join one of the global communities by participating in an overseas opportunity in locations such as Australia, Costa Rica, South Korea, South Africa or Egypt.

You would find the curriculum and programs evolving and mirroring the ever-changing environment and responding to the latest research findings. Classes are engaging and use technology such as Blackboard and interactive television and vary in course formats such as hybrid and distance education to meet and reach your needs.
