The Curriculum and Teaching Department offers distance education programs that allow students to balance educational objectives with career and family commitments; utilize live and archived streaming video as well as web-based instruction; schedule on-campus meetings in which students and instructors meet face-to-face; emphasize practical applications and research in the content area; allow graduate non-degree and students enrolled at other universities to enroll in courses; and offer distance-education versions of campus-based course offerings at Auburn University.
Distance education degrees are offered in the areas of Business and Marketing Education, English for Speakers of Other Languages Education, Foreign Language Education, and Music Education. Supporting coursework in Reading Education is also offered through distance education.
