The College of Education is an NCATE-accredited, top-25 percent U.S. News school of education offering degrees in teacher certification degree areas, in addition to degree areas preparing professionals in school administration and health professions. We are dedicated to ensuring that our graduates enter their chosen profession as competent, committed and reflective professionals, as outlined by our Conceptual Framework. By building on our 100-year history, we pride ourselves in meeting the present needs of education issues and addressing future needs through our instruction, research and outreach.
College of Education students are often recognized for their scholarly achievements, campus leadership roles and dedication to the community. Our students represent a true Auburn spirit in their desire to help their fellow human beings reach their full potential. The opportunity seen by our students in bettering futures for all is evidenced by our college's high level of student enrollment—we currently host the university's largest graduate and fifth-largest undergraduate student enrollment among AU's 12 colleges and schools.
The college's faculty represent some of the best and brightest instructors on the Auburn campus and beyond. Their active involvement and interest in helping students become well-rounded professionals can be seen both inside and outside the classroom environment. Many faculty members are also nationally respected scholars, researchers and leaders within their respective specialities.
With more than 30,000 alumni, the college boasts one of the largest alumni bases of Auburn University colleges and schools. Numerous alumni have gone on to serve in state, regional and national leadership roles within education, human services, health services, government and the private sector.
