Basic Step

Man Lady
Count Man's Part
1  2 Step forward with Left foot
3  4 Step forward with Right foot
5 Step forward with Left foot
6 Step side right with Right foot
7  8 Slide the Left foot to the Right foot slowly and touch the Left foot next to the Right foot with the left heel slightly up

Count Woman's Part
1  2 Step back with Right foot
3  4 Step back with Left foot
5 Step back with Right foot
6 Step side left with Left foot
7  8 Slide the Right foot to the Left foot slowly and touch the Right foot next to the Left foot with right heel up


Corté

Man Lady
Count Man's Part
1  2 Step back toward 7:30 with the Left foot so that the left toe points toward 10:30
3  4 Rock forward onto the Right foot
5 Step forward with the Left foot toward 10:30 between the woman's feet
6 Step side right with the Right foot toward 12:00 facing 9:00
7  8 Slide the Left foot to the Right foot slowly and touch the Left foot next to the Right foot with the left heel slightly up

Count Woman's Part
1  2 Step forward with the Right foot between the man's feet and point the left toe to the left (3:00)
3  4 Rock back onto the Left foot
5 Step back with the Right foot toward 10:30 facing 4:30
6 Step side left with Left foot toward 12:00 and facing 3:00
7  8 Slide the Right foot to the Left foot slowly and touch the Right foot next to the Left foot with right heel up


Promenadé

Man Lady
Count Man's Part
1  2 Step out a 1/4 turn left onto the Left foot toward 9:00. (Man is facing the left side of room (9:00) with right hip next to woman's left hip)
3  4 Step forward with the Right foot toward 9:00. (Man is still facing the left side of room (9:00) with woman in front of him)
5 Step forward with the Left foot toward 9:00. (The woman is still facing the man)
6 Step forward with the Right foot and make 1/4 turn left facing 6:00 
7  8 Slide the Left foot to the Right foot slowly and touch the Left foot next to the Right foot with the left heel slightly up. (Man is facing the back of the room with the woman in front of him (12:00)
Count Woman's Part
1  2 Step out 1/4 turn right onto Right foot toward 9:00.(Woman is facing the left side of room (9:00) with left hip next to man's right hip)
3  4 Step in front of man with the Left foot toward 8:30 and make 1/2 turn left facing 3:00. (Woman is facing the right side of room (3:00) in front of the man)
5 Step back on Right foot and make 1/4 turn left. (Women is facing 12:00)
6 Step side left with Left foot.
7  8 Slide the Right foot to the Left foot slowly and touch the Right foot next to the Left foot with right heel up. (Woman is facing the front of the room with the man in front of her (6:00)


Double Corté

Man Lady
Count Man's Part
Q Small forward rock with Left foot
Q Small backward rock step with Right foot
S Left foot back with backward lean
S Replace weight on Right foot
Q Small forward rock with Left foot
Q Small backward rock step with Right foot
S Left foot back with backward lean
S Replace weight on Right foot
Q Left foot Forward
Q Right foot Side
S Slide the Left foot to the Right foot slowly and touch the Left foot next to the Right foot with the left heel slightly up

In the double corté the man will step the ladies back progression and act like he's sitting.

Count Woman's Part
Q Small backward rock with Right foot
Q Small forward rock step with Left foot
S Right foot forward with lean
S Replace weight on Left foot
Q Small backward rock with Right foot
Q Small forward rock step with Left foot
S Right foot forward with lean
S Replace weight on Left foot
Q Right foot Backward
Q Left foot Side
S Slide the Right foot to the Left foot slowly and touch the Right foot next to the Left foot with right heel up

 


Tango Rocks

Man Lady
Count Man's Part
1  2 Left foot Forward
3  4 Right foot Forward
5 Left foot Forward (keep right foot back)
6 Replace weight on Right foot (rock step)
7  8 Replace weight on Left foot
1 Right foot Forward (keep left foot back)
2 Replace weight on Left foot (rock step)
3  4 Replace weight on right foot
5 Left foot Forward
6 Right foot Side
7  8 Slide the Left foot to the Right foot slowly and touch the Left foot next to the Right foot with the left heel slightly up
Count Woman's Part
1  2 Right foot Backward
3  4 Left foot Backward
5 Right foot Backward (keeping weight on left foot
6 Replace weight on Left foot (rock step)
7  8 Replace weight on Right foot
1 Left food Backward (keep right foot back)
2 Replace weight on Right foot (rock step)
3  4 Replace weight on Left foot
5 Right foot Backward
6 Step side left with Left foot.
7  8 Slide the Right foot to the Left foot slowly and touch the Right foot next to the Left foot with right heel up

Promenade Double Underarm Turn

Man Lady
Count Man's Part
1  2 Left foot Forward
3  4 Right foot Forward
5 Left foot Side and raise the left arm (to face partner)
6 Right foot Close
Left foot Side
8 Right foot Side (by this time lady should have done the double underarm turn)
1  2 Left foot Forward
3  4 Right foot Forward
5 Left foot Forward
6 Right foot Side
7  8 Slide the Left foot to the Right foot slowly and touch the Left foot next to the Right foot with the left heel slightly up

Tip. Turn lady into promenade position before you begin.

Count Woman's Part
1  2 Right foot Forward
3  4 Left foot Forward
5 Right foot Forward (and initiate turn to right)
6 Left foot continuing to turn Right
Right foot Forward (beginning second turn)
8 Left foot continuing turn
1  2 Right foot Forward
3  4 Step in front of man with the Left foot toward 8:30 and make 1/2 turn left facing 3:00. (Woman is facing the right side of room (3:00) in front of the man)
5 Right foot Backward
6 Step side left with Left foot.
7  8 Slide the Right foot to the Left foot slowly and touch the Right foot next to the Left foot with right heel up

Tip. It is really important to for the lady to do her turns quickly.
