Make-up tests will be given only to those who provide prompt (either before the test or by the following school day), valid and documented excuses for incapacitating illness or official university business. Small lecture quizzes (up to 30 total bonus points possible) will be announced one lecture day in advance. Makeup bonus quizzes will not be given for any reason. The final lecture exam and the 3rd lab practical will be comprehensive. The final will not be given early to any student, except in the case of a Dean's excuse.

ATTENDANCE POLICY: Seating according to a seating chart may be requested but roll will not be taken. Lecture attendance is up to you, but students who frequently miss class will almost certainly do poorly in the course. Laboratory attendance is mandatory and a part of your grade is determined by participation in each lab exercise.
NOTE: Any student who may require special accommodations, assistance or awareness on my part is encouraged to make an appointment with me so we can discuss the situation confidentially. Contact the office of the Program for Students with Disabilities for assistance (844-2096).

*If normal class and/or lab activities are disrupted due to a high
number of students experiencing illness or an emergency or crisis
situation (such as a widespread H1N1 flu outbreak), the syllabus and
other course plans and assignments may be modified to allow
completion of the course. If this occurs, an addendum to your
syllabus and/or course assignments will replace the original
materials.
