WORK EXECUTION
Communication, coordination and good planning are the most important tools you have for executing a successful project. An updated schedule and progress report is due each week of the quarter until project is completed. Client is responsible for all project costs; however, all costs must be approved by the client in advance. Any change in design or cost after the project has been approved must be documented as a change order and submitted to both client and instructor for singed approval. Tools must be kept in good condition - thoroughly cleaned and returned promptly after use.

PRESENTATION:

Group should document the project through the use of images (digital, slides and/or videotape) and prepare a 20-30 minute class presentation summarizing the project. There should be evidence of participation by all group members. Students are encouraged to use digital media for computer presentations. Students should specifically address each of the issues outlined in the initial proposal. Students are expected to invite their client to the final presentation. Projects will be evaluated on the quality of verbal and written communication as well as on design and construction execution. Videotaping is a good medium for condensing information.

Clients should be invited to attend the presentation.

NOTE: USE EKTACHROME 35mm SLIDE FILM or equivalent for speedy turnaround of slide development. Use high quality videotape for better picture quality, especially when editing to a second tape. Instructor has a digital camera available - please reserve in advance.

INSPECTION REVIEW:

Both Instructor and client must review the project on site with all group members 1 to 3 days following the pour.

FINAL REPORT(8½x11 format): A word processed report must be submitted at the time of the project presentation. The report should contain the following items:
